There were very few good tans or stories of far-off places visited when the Bath squad reassembled for pre-season training this week.

We have had a decent spell of time off and there is a real determination amongst us players to put right the wrongs of last season.

We know where we finished was not good enough and we need to be stronger, better at executing our game plans and more consistent in what we do.

I don’t think I have ever been as embarrassed on a rugby field as I was last weekend.

For the first time in my life, I started to celebrate a try before I had touched the ball down.

I broke free just inside the 22 and raised my arm in delight that we were going to land a fourth and, therefore, bonus point try against Wasps at The Rec.

I had already had a quick look around to make sure nobody was near me and I saw nothing in a Wasps shirt.

What is your dream position on the field and why? If I had all the athletic attributes I would like to play 13.  You get a fair bit of space out there but you still get to mix it.
Who is the hardest bloke you have ever played with? Julian White
Was your professional debut memorable or forgettable? I played the last 3 mins against leeds and we lost, so pretty forgettable. But the next one i was opposite johny Wilkinson and  we won.
What are your redeeming features - physical? I am too modest to say.
What are your redeeming traits - personality? I am just a bloody good bloke!
Best moment in rugby? Winning Premierships. Sense of achievement is awesome.
Worst moment in rugby? Losing Heineken cup finals to Leinster and Wasps. So close but no cigar.
Are you angry or a sulker in defeat? Sulker.
Which rugby player do you admire most from past or present? Serge blanco.
Where was your best rugby-related night out. Just place and venue please? Biarritz
